About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 1987 by parents and teachers, Brooklyn New School is a PreK–5 public school where children of all backgrounds and abilities learn through hands-on exploration. Our integrated curriculum—rooted in science, social studies, and the arts—fosters curiosity, collaboration, and a lifelong love of learning.
We believe in a school culture of belonging, where diversity is celebrated, equity is prioritized, and every voice is heard. From our affinity groups to our inquiry-based classrooms, we nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
