About Our School

Where second chances begin.

Founded in 2008, Brooklyn High School for Leadership and Community Service is a transfer high school for 200 students ages 16–21 who are over-aged and under-credited. Our partnership with Brooklyn Community Services provides paid internships, mentoring, and college/career readiness—helping students overcome past struggles and graduate with a Regents diploma.

We believe every child deserves a school that feels like family. From morning wake-up calls to after-school tutoring, our staff meets students where they are—academically, emotionally, and socially—so they can rewrite their stories and step into leadership roles in their communities.
