About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 2003 as a 6-12 NYC Outward Bound school, Channel View School for Research delivers an academically rigorous, expeditionary-learning curriculum that fosters independent inquiry and critical thinking. Our EL Education model ensures students graduate as well-educated, involved citizens ready to embrace their future with confidence.
Rooted in the Rockaways, we cultivate a culture of service, trust, accountability, and respect—values chosen collaboratively by students and staff. Through crew, not passengers, we build a community where every voice matters.
