Founded in 2004 and inspired by the legacy of Frederick Douglass, Frederick Douglass Academy VII High School is a four-year college and career preparatory public school in Brooklyn. We serve grades 9–12 with a rigorous curriculum that prepares every student for success in college, careers, and life.
Rooted in the values of academic excellence and personal integrity, we foster a community where every child belongs. Our scholars engage with the achievements of African American and Latinx leaders, building pride and purpose in their own potential.
