About Our School
Where every student is known.
Founded in 1997, Humanities Preparatory Academy is a progressive public high school serving grades 9–12 in the heart of Chelsea. Our interdisciplinary humanities focus and small, supportive community prepare students to think critically, write powerfully, and engage deeply with the world.
We believe education should be collaborative, not competitive—where teachers and students work side-by-side to explore big questions, challenge assumptions, and create meaningful change.
