About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 2005, Academy for New Americans is a public middle school in Astoria dedicated to serving newly arrived students and families. We offer grades 6–8 with a signature Dual Language Spanish program that honors students’ home languages while building English proficiency.
Our community thrives on cultural celebration and academic rigor, ensuring every student feels seen, supported, and prepared for high school and beyond. From Saturday Academy to Multicultural Night, we create spaces where families and educators grow together.
