Stephen T. Mather Building Arts & Craftsmanship High School is a NYC public high school offering grades 9–12 with a focus on historic preservation, carpentry, decorative finishing, and landscape management. Our Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs prepare students for real-world careers in the building trades.
We believe in learning by doing—whether restoring historic landmarks, crafting custom woodwork, or designing sustainable landscapes. Our partnerships with the National Park Service and local organizations provide hands-on experience that transforms students into skilled artisans and community leaders.
