About Our School

Where every child belongs.

Founded in 1904, Simon Baruch Middle School MS104 serves grades 6–8 in the heart of Manhattan. Our rigorous, culturally responsive curriculum—including Regents-level coursework in math and science—prepares students for high school and beyond while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

We believe in the power of community. Through our unique House system, students build strong relationships with peers and teachers, creating a smaller-school feel within our vibrant 1,050-student campus. From daily independent reading to hands-on science investigations, we nurture curious, empathetic, and civic-minded young leaders.

A dynamic middle school experience that challenges, supports, and inspires.

Accelerated Math Track

Our Screened Program offers advanced students the opportunity to complete three years of math in two, culminating in Algebra 1 Regents in 8th grade. Open to roughly half of each incoming class.
