Founded in 1904, P.S. 5 Ellen Lurie School is a vibrant Pre-K through 5th grade public elementary school in Washington Heights. We partner with the Children’s Aid Society to provide wraparound services that support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our school is built on a foundation of respect, equity, and joy. With a diverse community of learners, we celebrate each student’s unique strengths and foster a love of discovery through hands-on learning, arts, and technology.
