About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Opening fall 2026, West Q Elementary (PS 437Q) is a new District 24 public school in Woodside, Queens, serving 3K through 5th grade. Our balanced approach pairs clear instruction in reading, writing, and math with hands-on, project-based learning that connects skills to real-world problem-solving.
We design safe, predictable classrooms where students’ languages, experiences, and identities are recognized as strengths. Through collaboration, conversation, and revision, children build confidence, curiosity, and the skills to think deeply and work together.
