About Our School

Where every child belongs.

Founded in 2012 on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, PS 527 serves students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Our signature Social Action Process empowers students to research real-world issues, imagine solutions, and take action—preparing them to be thoughtful, engaged global citizens.

We educate the whole child, blending rigorous academics with social-emotional learning, arts, and hands-on community projects. From our annual Participatory Budget Vote to the Morgan Book Project, we foster collaboration, creativity, and a deep sense of responsibility to our neighborhood and beyond.
