About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 1929, PS/IS 48 serves PreK through 8th grade with a mission to nurture confident, curious learners. From our annual Dance Festival to hands-on STEAM nights, we blend arts, technology, and academics in a joyful, supportive environment.
At the heart of our school is a welcoming community where families, teachers, and neighbors come together to celebrate each child’s unique journey. Whether through our Fun Run fundraiser or We Can Sports recess program, we believe learning happens best when it’s active, collaborative, and fun.
