About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 1996 in partnership with Teachers College, Columbia University, The Heritage School is a small, community high school in East Harlem offering a rigorous four-year curriculum in math and science, Advanced Placement classes, and extended learning opportunities after school.
We uphold the rich tradition of East Harlem by fostering a welcoming, caring, and family-oriented environment where students develop leadership skills through restorative practices, peer mediation, and student government.
