About Our School
Where every child belongs.
Founded in 1839 as one of Brooklyn’s first schools for Black students, The Weeksville School now serves 3K–5th Grade with a commitment to academic excellence and social-emotional growth. Our small class sizes and integrated co-teaching model ensure every scholar thrives.
We honor our ancestors by fostering a community where cultural pride and continuous learning go hand in hand. From enrichment programs to in-house services, we support the whole child—because education is liberation.
