About Our School
Where every girl belongs.
Founded in 2022, The Young Women's Leadership School of Staten Island is the newest member of the TYWLS network, serving grades 6-12 with a focus on leadership, STEM, and college access. Our innovative model centers the experiences of girls and gender-expansive youth through culturally responsive pedagogy and social-emotional learning.
Rooted in our four pillars—Leadership, Health & Wellness, College Access, and STEM—we cultivate a community where students develop self-advocacy, identity, and a growth mindset. Together with families, we prepare young women to lead in their communities and beyond.
