About Our School
Where every student grows.
Founded in 2008, Urban Assembly School for Green Careers is a Manhattan public high school where sustainability meets social action. We serve grades 9–12 with a unique Career and Technical Education (CTE) program in urban agriculture, building science, and business—preparing students for green careers while empowering them to create change in their communities.
At UAGC, we believe education is an act of love. Our students explore identity, master a second language, and engage in real-world service projects that make a difference. From rooftop gardens to energy-efficient building designs, our hands-on learning fosters leadership, creativity, and a deep commitment to environmental justice.
