About Our School
Where artistry meets academics — and every student belongs.
Founded in 2005, Urban Assembly School for the Performing Arts is the only non-audition public high school in NYC where students in grades 9–12 explore dance, theater, music, and technical arts while mastering a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum.
We believe the arts are a catalyst for confidence and creativity, breathing life into every subject—from mathematics to history. Our tight-knit community celebrates diversity, collaboration, and the unique talents of every artist-scholar.
