About Our School
Where every student builds the future.
Founded in 2009, Williamsburg High School for Architecture and Design is a college-preparatory public school for grades 9–12. We blend rigorous academics with a four-year sequence in architectural drafting, design, and historic preservation, giving students the skills to solve real-world problems through creativity and collaboration.
At WHSAD, we believe design is more than a discipline—it’s a way of thinking. Our students engage in paid internships, community projects, and interdisciplinary learning, preparing them for careers in architecture, engineering, and beyond.
